Wedding Invitation Verses

Although traditional wedding invitation verses remain extremely popular many couples prefer to look for wedding invitation verses that more suit their wedding style.

The first thing you will probably need to consider is, if you want the wedding invitation verses to be formal or informal.

Sending a wedding invitation is the first formal announcement that a marriage is to take place, so it is worth taking the time to get this aspect of the wedding right.

Traditionally the wedding invitations are sent by the bride’s parents. This often means that the bride’s parents will have to search through many wedding invitation verses to find the right one. These days it is not uncommon for both sets of parent to be involved in this task.

However, finding wedding invitation verses is not as hard as you may first think. Consider looking on the internet or visiting your local library for tips and ideas.

You may even want to enlist the help of a wedding planner if you are really struggling to find suitable wedding invitation verses. Always ask for more than one example and only recruit the help of someone who will keep going until you have found the perfect words.

Once you have found some suitable wedding invitation verses and your invitations are ready make sure you also include a response card, map of the location, and any gift list the bride and groom have.

There are always circumstances where the wording needs to be adjusted in the instance of step parents or deceased parents.

In the event of another family member such as an aunt or uncle hosting the wedding, the following wedding invitation verses may be appropriate:

Mr. & Mrs. ‘Name’
request the pleasure of your company
at the marriage of their niece
’Name’

Mr. ‘Name’

Or if the bride and groom are hosting the wedding themselves:

Miss ‘name’

Mr. ‘name’
request the pleasure of your company
at their marriage
at ‘place’
on ‘date’
at ‘time’ o'clock
and afterwards at

It is down to personal choice what style of stationary you choose to have your wedding invitation verses printed on however it is recommended that it fits in with the theme of the wedding.
