Wedding Menu Ideas - Selecting Something Interesting

One of the essential aspects of any wedding day is coming up with some good wedding menu ideas. Many couples will opt for simple dishes such as a melon starter, chicken main and a cheese cake desert. These days it is becoming more fashionable to go for more adventurous wedding menu ideas.

The first thing you will need to do is find out how many guests you are catering for and also how many of those people have allergies or cannot eat certain foods for one reason or another. This is very important for obvious reasons, so you need to be very specific when discussing this with the caterers and incorporate any requirements into your wedding menu ideas.

Once all the information has been collected you can then embark on the really exciting journey of finding some truly interesting and bold wedding menu ideas.

Some examples of some interesting and unusual wedding menu ideas are:-

It is always a good idea to include after dinner coffee and maybe a cheese board in your wedding menu ideas.

As with most things the more adventurous and different the food is the chances are you will pay more so make sure you have factored this into your wedding budget.

My biggest tip is to sample, sample, and sample some more! Every company of wedding caterers will offer a free tasting of their food. In the event they do not, I would steer well clear. Sampling the food is a really fun aspect of a wedding preparation, and also something that you can involve others in. So why not give your future mother in law a call and see if she fancies a fun day out sampling some different wedding menu ideas.
